 In News

Brussels, Belgium – Jan 14, 2020 – Radisens attended the kick-off meeting of the Medphab project – Europe’s first photonics pilot line on medical applications – to discuss the challenges and expectations for the 4-year project. MedPhab will support the next-stage development of Radisens Diagnostics’ in-vitro diagnostics point-of-care platform. The know-how within the consortium will be used to develop technologies for the manufacture of a cost-effective point-of-care reader and accompanying test cartridges.

The mission of the MedPhab pilot production line is to accelerate the commercialisation of diagnostic devices and instruments for treatment based on photonics, and to reduce the R&D cost. This project includes a consortium of 18 companies and research institutes that have experience in ISO 13485 standardized manufacturing and/or strong expertise in photonics to ensure the seamless transition from development to manufacture.
