Radisens granted first US patent
Cork – Dec 12, 2016 – Radisens is pleased to announce the granting by the US Patent Office of it’s first US patent published as US 9,518,925.
Entitled “Detection system and method for wide dynamic range, high resolution detection of biological samples”, the patent includes various preliminary building blocks for Radisens’ solid-state optical detection technologies. It describes a detection platform using multiple high-gain semiconductor optical sensors for the detection of optical signatures from biological samples.
This builds on earlier patents granted by the European patent office covering the processing of biological samples on centrifugal microfluidic cartridges wherein such optical signature are produced once stimulated by an optical source.
