Radisens granted patent on novel sample application method

Cork – Aug 13, 2019 – Radisens today announced a further expansion of their intellectual property portfolio with the granting by the US Patent Office of its novel sample application method published as US 10,376,882.

Entitled “[a] sample applicator for a point of care device”, the patent describes a novel method to apply a biological sample on to a centrifugal microfluidic cartridge for its subsequent on-cartridge processing. This is particularly applicable to point-of-care monitoring devices where there is a requirement for small sample volumes and ease of use.
